Job summary

EXL Talent Acquisition Team is seeking an Applications Development - Business Analyst in Stamford, CT to join a fast-paced environment. You will own applications, drive small projects, lead UAT, manage access, and collaborate with Cyber Security and IT Audit to ensure SOX compliance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in a similar role with SDLC expertise, strong communication, and a track record of stakeholder management and process improvement. Certification and development experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a Business Systems Analyst or similar role with end-to-end ownership.
• Experience leading small projects or enhancements using Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid methods.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, QA, UAT, and system integration best practices.
• Experience collaborating with IT Helpdesk, Cyber Security, and IT Audit on access management and SOX evidence is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with ability to translate business requirements into technical specs.
• Demonstrated stakeholder management, problem-solving, prioritization, and project coordination skills.
• Experience in media, sports, entertainment, or live events preferred.
• CSM, PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Hands-on experience with .NET (C#) or JAVA development with dev teams.

Responsibilities

• Own applications: document current- and future-state processes, improve data quality.
• Deliver enhancements and small projects per priorities.
• Lead UAT activities and coordinate defect resolution.
• Manage access provisioning with IT Helpdesk and validate user roles.
• Provide day-to-day operational support and Level 2 assistance.
• Partner with Cyber Security and IT Audit for SOX evidence.
• Develop user guides and deliver training.
• Identify opportunities to improve usability and efficiency.
