Job summary

CVG is seeking a Senior Application Engineer for its Seating Solutions team in Vonore, TN. You will bridge customers and engineering, translating requirements into manufacturable seating solutions for automotive and commercial vehicles. Relocation support is available.

You'll lead technical discussions, guide design decisions, and support product development from concept through launch, collaborating with OEMs and internal teams to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required or equivalent technical experience.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in application or design engineering required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical contact for assigned customers, guiding seat design and manufacturability.
• Lead customer discovery activities and engineering reviews, define project scope and requirements.
• Review specifications with the sales team and estimate material/design feasibility.
• Translate requirements into internal engineering docs, drawings, and specs for seat assemblies.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure cost-effective, manufacturable solutions.
• Support product development cycles from design validation to launch readiness.
