Job summary

Centene Corporation is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, and implement complex enterprise solutions in a healthcare data environment in the United States. You will work with data modelers, architects, analysts, data stewards, and SMEs to deliver ETL processes, data transformations, and letter-generation workflows.

The role emphasizes SQL Server development (T-SQL), C#, SSIS, and data integration, with responsibilities to optimize performance, maintain documentation, and support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field with 4–6 years of related experience.
• Or equivalent experience reflective of the level of this position.
• Experience with SQL Server development, C#, and SSIS is required.
• Experience with EDI and healthcare data preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and implements complex enterprise software solutions.
• Create, optimize, and re-engineer SQL Server objects for data staging and transformation.
• Own, maintain, and enhance the in-house letter application producing Word documents and PDFs.
• Develop and support SSIS packages for ETL, file processing, and document workflows.
• Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot jobs using ActiveBatch.
• Perform data analysis, testing, and production support; resolve data and performance issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including designs and data flows.
• Clearly articulate issues to stakeholders and design solutions.
• Contribute to data mart development, EDW feeds, and reporting.
