Job summary

Gibson Dunn is seeking a Senior Application Engineer to own the full lifecycle of enterprise applications within the Legal CMS & Productivity portfolio. You will administer, design, implement, and secure critical systems across Windows, Linux, and cloud environments while collaborating with stakeholders Firm-wide.

The role requires 8+ years in enterprise application support, strong PowerShell and REST API skills, and experience with iManage, Intapp Wallbuilder, Boomi, and Litera CAM.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience supporting and administering enterprise applications in professional services, legal, or regulated environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• Experience managing client/server applications in a global environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and optimize assigned applications for stability, performance, and user adoption.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and deliver solutions for complex technical challenges.
• Lead application lifecycle activities, including upgrades, patching, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Translate requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions with business stakeholders.
• Architect systems, integrations, and workflows aligned with firm standards and best practices.
• Lead or support deployments, automation initiatives, and new technology implementations.
• Perform comprehensive testing and QA to ensure successful rollouts.
• Ensure security standards, data protection, and regulatory compliance for all apps.
• Manage vendor relationships, track issues, and oversee project timelines.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation and user guides.
• Develop and deliver training for end users and technical teams.
• Ensure Walls rules compliance with policy and regulatory standards.
