Job summary
The South Carolina Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (BHDD) is seeking an Application Developer to lead and contribute to development across mainframe, PC, and web platforms. You will collaborate with users and staff through requirements, design, programming, testing, and implementation phases.
Located at BHDD's Central Office in Cayce, SC, the role emphasizes technical leadership, architecting solutions, and improving complex systems while supporting mission-driven
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute for required work experience.
- Experience with modification and maintenance of system programs, design and development of system software, or testing and debugging of system software.
Responsibilities
- Provides expertise for developers and customers regarding technical solutions being implemented; acts as technical lead and architect for BHDD IT projects.
- Plan and perform in-depth systems analysis to develop requirements for creating/enhancing customer systems.
- Designs, codes, develops, tests, implements, and documents software systems.
- Provides technical customer support for existing application systems or data.
- Makes recommendations to management to improve efficiency of application systems and business processes.
- Completes training for professional growth and assists in training others.
