Labcorp in Durham, NC seeks a Technical Manager – Application Architect to lead end‑to‑end enterprise architectures for scalable, secure applications on AWS. You will guide product alignment, set technical roadmaps, and drive modernization with AI‑assisted tooling.

The role emphasizes leadership of software engineers, DevSecOps practices, and cross‑functional collaboration with business stakeholders to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Engineering
• 10+ years of software development experience
• 5+ years in architecture or technical leadership roles
• 5+ years developing applications with Java and Spring Boot
• 3+ years designing REST APIs and microservices
• 3+ years using AWS services (Lambda, ECS, EKS, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, etc.)
• 3+ years implementing CI/CD and DevSecOps
• 2+ years containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve end‑to‑end application architecture for scalable, reliable, secure systems
• Provide architectural guidance across Java-based services and cloud-native components on AWS
• Lead, mentor, and manage software engineers and DevSecOps practices
• Evaluate AI-enabled tools and automate processes to improve quality and velocity
• Oversee governance, production support, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure performance
