Job summary

Labcorp in Durham, NC seeks an Executive Director of Strategic Enablers, Frontier Partnerships and R&D to lead enterprise AI enablement and governance. The role focuses on scalable AI platforms, developer tooling, and industry partnerships, reporting to the Chief AI Officer in a hybrid setup.

The candidate will drive rapid experimentation, strategic partnerships, and responsible AI practices across the organization. 40-50% travel expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 15+ years in software, AI, data, or technology leadership.
• 5+ years leading production AI, ML, generative AI, or AI-assisted development capabilities.
• 5+ years delivering enterprise-grade software platforms and developer platforms.
• 5+ years leading AI enablement initiatives across organizations.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead Labcorp's enterprise AI strategy and reusable platform standards.
• Partner with engineering, data, and business leaders to accelerate AI adoption.
• Establish AI governance, observability, security, and responsible AI practices.
• Drive development of AI patterns, agent frameworks, and knowledge-based AI.
• Oversee evaluation of AI technologies and build-versus-buy decisions.
