Job summary

Humana is seeking a Senior Application Architect to design and develop IT architecture solutions aligned with enterprise direction. You will plan technically, develop specifications, and assess integration across applications while influencing strategy.

You should have a bachelor's degree in CS or related field, 7+ years of senior developer experience, and hands-on work with APIs, microservices, containers, cloud platforms, and DevOps. Occasional travel to Humana offices may be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field.
7+ years of experience as a senior developer on large IT projects.
Prior project architect and/or team lead experience.
Passion for improving consumer experiences within Humana's environment.
At least 3 years of experience with AI, cloud platforms and HR SaaS applications.
Strong knowledge of architecture principles, design and integration patterns.
Experience designing enterprise apps with APIs, microservices, containers, cloud, and DevOps.
Familiarity with security-by-design, IAM, data protection, and secure coding.
Ability to create architecture diagrams, specs, decision records, and roadmaps.

Responsibilities

Design and develop IT applications architecture solutions aligned with enterprise direction.
Perform technical planning, architecture development, and specification modification.
Develop specifications for new products, services and offerings.
Assess compatibility and integration of proposed standards for an integrated architecture.
Influence department strategy and make decisions on complex technical approaches.
Create architecture artifacts including diagrams, specs, decision records and roadmaps.
