Job summary

Humana is seeking a Senior Application Architect to design and develop IT application architecture solutions aligned with enterprise direction and standards. The role involves architecting solutions for complex business problems while influencing departmental strategy.

The candidate will have extensive experience in APIs, microservices, containers, cloud platforms, event-driven architectures, and DevOps practices, with a focus on secure coding and IAM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• 7+ years experience as a senior developer in large IT projects.
• Prior project architect and/or team lead experience.
• Passion for contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.
• At least 3 years project experience working with AI, cloud platforms and HR platform SaaS applications.
• Strong knowledge of architecture principles, design patterns, integration patterns, and software engineering practices.
• Experience designing enterprise applications using APIs, microservices, containers, cloud platforms, event-driven architectures, and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with security-by-design principles, identity and access management, data protection, and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops IT applications architecture solutions aligned with enterprise direction and standards.
• Develops specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings.
• Assesses compatibility and integration of proposed standards to ensure integrated architecture across interdependent applications.
• Influences department strategy and makes decisions on moderately to complex technical approaches.
• Exhibits latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
