Job summary

Humana is seeking a Senior Application Architect to design and develop IT application architecture solutions aligned with enterprise direction. You will lead architecture planning and define specifications for new products and services, ensuring integration across interdependent applications.

You will influence strategy, make decisions on complex technical approaches, and work with APIs, microservices, containers, cloud, and DevOps practices while upholding security-by-design and data protection.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS, IT or related field.
7+ years as a senior developer on large IT projects.
Prior project architect and/or team lead experience.
Passionate about improving consumer experiences.
At least 3 years working with AI, cloud platforms and HR SaaS.
Strong knowledge of architecture principles, design patterns, integration patterns, and software engineering practices.
Experience designing enterprise apps using APIs, microservices, containers, cloud platforms, event-driven architectures, and DevOps practices.
Familiarity with security-by-design, IAM, data protection, and secure coding practices.
Ability to create architecture artifacts, diagrams, technical specs, decision records, and roadmaps.

Responsibilities

Designs and develops IT applications architecture solutions aligned with enterprise direction and standards.
Performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications.
Develops specifications for new products/services and service offerings.
Assesses compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards to ensure integrated architecture.
Influences department strategy and makes decisions on complex technical approaches for project components.
