Job summary

Humana is seeking a Senior Application Architect to design and develop IT architecture solutions aligned with enterprise standards. You will influence strategy and guide complex projects, using APIs, microservices, containers, and cloud platforms to enable scalable, secure enterprise apps with DevOps practices.

Travel to Humana offices may be required for training or meetings. This remote role offers 40 hours weekly and a competitive base salary with bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
7+ years experience as a senior developer on large IT projects.
Prior project architect and/or team lead experience.
At least 3 years project experience with AI, cloud platforms and HR SaaS apps.
Strong knowledge of architecture principles, design patterns, integration patterns, and software engineering practices.

Responsibilities

Designs and develops IT applications architecture solutions aligned with the enterprise architecture direction and standards.
Develops specifications for new products/services and service offerings.
Assesses compatibility and integration of proposed standards to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent applications.
