Job summary

Quest Systems is seeking a Senior Technical Writer & Specifications Analyst to own API documentation for orders and results services in a healthcare interoperability context. You will map HL7/FHIR data, create comprehensive, developer-facing specs, and collaborate with clinical, product, and analysis teams to ensure seamless integration with Quest systems.

Qualifications

5+ years in technical writing, business systems analysis, or integration analysis with API documentation experience.
3+ years in healthcare interoperability, EHRs, and clinical data exchange.
Hands-on mapping HL7 v2/v3 for orders, results, or clinical data.
Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger and API development tools such as Postman.

Responsibilities

Gather, define, and document technical requirements for interoperability services.
Create and maintain API specification docs for orders and results services (schemas, endpoints, headers, errors).
Perform data mapping and interface specification design for HL7/FHIR workflows.
Develop guides, tutorials, and release notes for internal and external users.
ValidateSpecifications by testing APIs and reproducing workflows.
Implement Docs-as-Code with version control to streamline reviews.
Collaborate in Agile backlog grooming and sprint planning.
Standardize content across integration portals to ensure consistency.
