SPD Technology is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to design and execute automated testing across mission-critical APIs in a FinTech environment. The role focuses on back-end API automation, performance testing, and CI/CD integration.

A strong background in Java/Kotlin, REST testing, and AWS is required, with mentoring responsibilities for a mid-level engineer. The team operates in an Agile framework with fully remote work options and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development or QA engineering.
• Hands-on API-level test automation experience.
• Strong Java/Kotlin skills with JUnit/TestNG and REST APIs.
• Experience with performance, load, and stress testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and AWS.
• Knowledge of SQL and QA best practices in FinTech contexts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for back-end APIs.
• Build test automation solutions for API and UI testing where applicable.
• Define and implement robust performance testing strategies (JMeter).
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage: functional, regression, integration, performance.
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product teams to ensure testability.
• Mentor a middle-level automation engineer and contribute to sprint planning.
