Job summary

Boeing Employees Credit Union (BECU) seeks a Sr. Manager, Technology - API Platform to lead API strategy, deliver enterprise APIs, and guide platform capabilities across channels. You will manage engineering teams, develop roadmaps, and drive agile practices while aligning technology with strategic goals.

The role requires experience building API-driven platforms, cloud-native architectures, and ERP/financial product familiarity. Hybrid/remote options available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of people leader experience.
• Minimum 5 years of IT experience with API-driven or integration-focused architectures.
• Experience building technology platforms and teams with modern APIs, microservices, cloud-native services, or integration frameworks.
• ERP/infrastructure/financial products experience (e.g., Credit Card, Mortgage, Auto Loan, Deposits).

Responsibilities

• Own delivery and execution for API platform outcomes with alignment to leadership priorities and architectural guardrails.
• Align technology with business goals and develop roadmaps and business cases.
• Identify innovative solutions and lead RFPs, project charters, and business cases.
• Develop and coach teams to build a high-performing engineering culture.
• Lead engineering initiatives and ensure strong execution across products and platforms (APIs in C#/.NET on Azure).
• Champion Agile practices and drive best practices across the software lifecycle.
• Engage governance and planning with cross-functional partners and annual planning.
• Oversee vendor partnerships and external contracts, ensuring value delivery.
