Job summary

JPMorgan Chase seeks a Software Engineer III to design, build, and enhance the API Platform that powers our API developers. You will collaborate with tech leads, product managers, and designers on end-to-end solutions while raising the bar for security, scalability, and reliability across cloud-native stacks.

This role emphasizes hands-on coding, mentoring, and shaping architecture in a fast-paced, agile environment. You will influence how applications deliver value to customers and partners.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on design, development, testing, and operations.
• Experience with API platforms and end-to-end API stack security.
• Ability to work with multiple stacks and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Solve business-critical problems with engineers, PMs, and designers.
• Identify and reduce technical debt to improve quality.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders and lead customer discussions.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review peers.
• Guide product design and architecture decisions with technical leadership.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in API platforms or related areas.
• Contribute to engineering best practices and SDLC tools adoption.
• Leverage AI-assisted coding tools to boost quality and speed.
• Apply SDLC tooling knowledge to improve automation value.
