Job summary

Handtevy-Pediatric Emergency Standards seeks a senior software engineer to own the API integration platform. You will lead bi-directional integrations with healthcare systems, define RESTful APIs with robust versioning, and implement secure authentication and authorization for third-party access.

You will collaborate with product, customer success, clinical, and implementation teams to ship new integrations and evolve the partner API platform, ensuring reliability and security across systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience
• Experience with API platforms or system integrations
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and security best practices

Responsibilities

• Design and build bi-directional integrations between Handtevy and third-party platforms
• Design RESTful APIs with versioning, pagination, and idempotency; document via OpenAPI/Swagger
• Implement and harden authentication and authorization flows for third-party access
• Build observable webhook and event-driven integration patterns
• Own reliability, testing, and documentation standards for the integration layer, including security controls
• Collaborate with integration vendors and internal teams to scope and ship new integrations
• Evolve our public-facing API into a partner platform
