Prompt Health is seeking a Senior Healthcare Integrations Software Engineer to advance large-scale EDI/API data exchange in a healthcare setting. You will build robust APIs, work with HL7 and FHIR standards, and collaborate with partners to ensure secure, compliant data sharing.

You will join a team that designs scalable architectures, implements error handling, and documents complex data flows while adapting to evolving technologies and federal requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven experience in software development, preferably in healthcare.
• Strong API design and integration capabilities.
• Experience with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) and EDI concepts is a plus.
• Ability to learn new languages and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable, fault-tolerant integration solutions for large volumes of healthcare data.
• Design system architectures to handle complex EDI/API mappings for clearinghouses.
• Implement robust error handling, logging, and retry mechanisms in asynchronous workflows.
• Collaborate with external clearinghouse partners to debug non-standard integrations.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other federal healthcare standards, including security considerations.
• Document features, data flows, and processes; adapt technologies as needed.
