Job summary

Handtevy-Pediatric Emergency Standards is seeking a senior software engineer to own the design and delivery of our API integration platform. You will lead the technical decisions on how Handtevy connects to ePCR, EHR, narcotic and blood tracking systems, and more.

You will architect and implement bi-directional integrations, RESTful APIs, and secure access patterns, while collaborating with product and implementation teams to ship new integrations and evolve the partner API platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend software engineering experience with API platforms or system integrations.
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript.
• Deep knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, SSO/SAML, and API security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and build bi-directional integrations with third-party platforms.
• Design RESTful APIs with versioning, pagination, and idempotency; document via OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Implement and harden API security and key management for third-party access.
• Build observable webhook/events patterns and ensure reliability/testing/documentation standards.
• Collaborate with integration vendors and internal teams to scope and ship integrations.
• Evolve public API into a partner platform.
