Job summary

Invenergy is seeking a Payment Run Senior Specialist, Accounts Payable, to manage multiple weekly payment runs, process supplier invoices, and coordinate with Treasury for approvals. The role is based in our downtown Chicago office, reporting to the AP Manager.

Your responsibilities include ensuring timely, accurate payments, resolving discrepancies, and supporting month-end close while maintaining internal controls and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years in high-volume AP environment.
• Experience with PO-to-invoice payment process.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Detailed knowledge of IRS form W-9.
• US work authorization now or in future.

Responsibilities

• Execute multiple payment runs weekly to ensure timely payment of invoices.
• Coordinate with Treasury for payment approvals.
• Process supplier invoices and payments per policy and contracts.
• Provide high-level customer support to internal/external clients.
• Research, reconcile, and clear discrepancies timely.
• Monitor AP processes and ensure proper documentation and approvals.
• Contribute to month-end close and update process documentation.
