Job summary

Bird Electric Enterprises, a Black & Veatch company, is seeking an Accounting Operations Manager to lead the Accounting Operations Professionals and oversee complex accounting processes. This role requires advanced accounts payable expertise, strategic thinking, and ownership of process, risk mitigation, system optimization, and talent development across the department.

You will collaborate with Finance leadership on high‑risk matters, drive efficiency, and ensure compliance with company policy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
• Typically 6+ years related accounting experience.
• Advanced AP expertise and strategic thinking required.
• CPA or Master’s degree beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise‑level ownership of Accounts Payable operations.
• Monitor, analyze, and resolve system related invoice processing issues.
• Serve as senior SME for approval routing, supplier due diligence, and ERP issues.
• Lead Accounts Receivable adjustments and ensure timely cash application.
• Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with policy.
• Oversee Expense Reporting and Corporate Card programs.
• Supervise team; manage hiring, discipline, and pay administration.
