Job summary

Aspire NorCal, part of Aspire Public Schools, is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Accountant to ensure accurate AP entries, reconcile bank and fixed asset accounts, and support school-level accounting with internal audits. The position emphasizes collaboration across departments and vendor relations.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting preferred.
• 4+ years of accounting or accounts payable experience; intermediate/advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience in non-profit accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of AP entries and strong COA understanding.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Process monthly self-billing benefit payments and vendor reporting.
• Process entries in Abila MIP including journals, invoices, payments, and reclassifications.
• Review and process construction project payments and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Support internal audits and coordinate with schools and auditors.
