Job summary

Aspire NorCal is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to oversee AP for Aspire Public Schools across Northern California. The role includes leading an AP team, managing payments, invoices, and journal entries, and ensuring compliance with GAAP in a nonprofit setting.

Responsibilities also cover process improvements, Coupa administration, and collaboration with school sites. Degree in accounting or business admin is preferred; 4+ years in AP or 6+ in AP-related roles required.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in a similar position, or 6+ years in AP.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; fluency in Excel. Non-profit accounting preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead AP team (1-2 direct reports) and support development of team.
• Oversee AP processes: weekly payment run, invoices, journal entries, AP aging and vendor data.
• Maintain AP knowledge, training materials, and ensure policy compliance.
