Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Mobile Engineer 4 - Android (Remote-Eligible) to join our mobile platform team. You will partner with engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-performing features for 100M+ customers, mentoring others and shaping architecture.

You will lead architecture decisions, drive best practices, and contribute to scalable mobile solutions while working in a fast-paced, Agile environment with strong focus on quality and user experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS or related quantitative field.
• At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least 3 years building native mobile apps for Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift).

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineers, designers, and PMs to deliver high-performing features for 100M+ customers.
• Provide technical leadership for mobile architecture and design patterns.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and remove technical obstacles.
• Grow expertise in performance, accessibility, and architecture.
• Contribute to API design reviews and reusable components.
• Lead Backend-for-Frontends and Server-Driven UI architectures for mobile.
• Define feature flagging and staged rollout practices.
• Champion AI tools and on-device ML practices for velocity.
