Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking an Android Lead Software Engineer within Consumer & Community Banking in Plano, TX. You will lead an agile team, deliver trusted mobile products, and drive secure, scalable Android solutions.

As a core technical contributor, you will mentor engineers, apply Jetpack Compose and traditional Android UI, and leverage AI-assisted development tools to boost quality, speed, and security across complex projects.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Expertise in Java and Kotlin.
• Experience with Android UI using Jetpack Compose and XML.
• Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools and evaluating AI outputs.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.
• Experience with Android Studio and API integration.
• Ability to work with large codebases and mobile apps on Google Play.

Responsibilities

• Provides regular technical guidance to business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
• Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity with peer review and testing.
• Applies SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to improve value of automation.
• Drives decisions influencing product design, functionality, and operations.
• Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas.
• Contributes to engineering community standards and practices.
• Influences peers to adopt leading-edge technologies.
