Job summary

JPMorganChase in the United States is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for the Consumer & Community Banking Mobile team. You will be a core technical contributor, responsible for designing, building, testing, and delivering trusted mobile applications in a secure, scalable environment.

The role requires strong Kotlin/Java skills, MVVM architecture, and experience with RxJava, LiveData, Dagger, and Android Jetpack.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficient in coding in Kotlin and Java.
• Experience with Restful API integration and modern programming languages.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine approaches.
• Writes secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run with relevant systems.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensures design constraints are met.
• Gathers and analyzes data to visualize and report on software performance for continuous improvement.
• Identifies hidden problems in data and drives improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Contributes to engineering communities of practice and explores new technologies.
• Develops and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream/downstream systems.
• Designs and codes with Java, MVVM, Dagger, RxJava, and Kotlin.
• Learns and applies system processes and methodologies for secure, stable code and systems.
• Supports team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
