Job summary

Brick is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to own major portions of the Android app architecture, feature development, and system design. You’ll work with Kotlin, Jetpack libraries, and system-level APIs, collaborating across product, design, backend, and hardware teams to deliver a polished, high-quality app.

This senior role offers leadership, architectural influence, and a focus on performance, security, and seamless device integrations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Android engineering experience.
• Strong background in app architecture, coroutines/flows, DI, and best practices.
• Deep experience with Jetpack Compose and Android View system.
• Understanding of OS internals including permissions, lifecycle and battery constraints.
• Experience with Accessibility Services, device controls, or app usage enforcement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead Android architecture and feature development using Kotlin and modern Android frameworks.
• Architect clean, testable code with emphasis on reliability and performance.
• Drive major initiatives across blocking logic, analytics, personalization, and user flows.
• Build responsive UI with Jetpack Compose where appropriate.
• Improve app performance, offline support, caching, and state management.
• Mentor other mobile engineers and contribute to engineering culture.
