Hinge is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to help build and maintain the Android app used by millions. You will implement new features, fix issues, and improve UX using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Room and Hilt, collaborating with product managers, designers, data engineers, backend engineers, and QA.

• 5–10 years of Android development experience.
• Experience publishing at least one app on the Google Play Store.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Android SDKs; Java knowledge beneficial.
• Strong software fundamentals and ability to write maintainable code.
• Excellent communication and ownership of high‑quality user experiences.
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, data engineers, backend engineers and QA to build features that drive engagement.
• Develop and enhance Android apps using Kotlin and Android SDKs and modern toolchains.
• Understand Android design patterns and deliver intuitive user experiences.
• Triage, debug, and fix issues to ensure performance and stability.
• Contribute to long‑term code quality through reviews and proactive improvements.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
