Job summary

Brick is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to own major parts of the Android app architecture, feature development, system design, and user experience. You will work across Kotlin, Jetpack libraries, system-level Android APIs, Accessibility and Device Policy integrations, secure data flows, and performance-sensitive functionality that interacts directly with our backend and hardware.

This is a senior, high-impact role where you will help shape the future of Brick’s Android product.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Android app development using Kotlin.
• Strong knowledge of modern Android architecture principles.
• Experience with Jetpack libraries and Compose.
• Understanding of Android OS internals, permissions, and lifecycle.
• Ability to mentor and grow a high-quality Android culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of core features in the Android app using Kotlin and Android frameworks.
• Architect clean, testable code with focus on reliability and performance.
• Drive initiatives in blocking logic, analytics, personalization, and UX flows.
• Collaborate with product, design, backend, and hardware teams to deliver a polished app.
• Lead testing strategy and improve tooling and architecture patterns.
