Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior Android Developer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of core Android applications. The role will collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers to deliver scalable, high-performance, and user-friendly experiences.

The developer will mentor junior and mid-level engineers and guide technical architecture decisions, while contributing to CI/CD pipelines and Google Play release management.

Qualifications

• 5+ to 8+ years of Android development experience
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java
• Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, Gradle, Jetpack Compose
• Experience with Retrofit, Room, SQLite and asynchronous data handling
• Preferred cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Published apps on Google Play Store preferred

Responsibilities

• Design & Build: Develop advanced Android apps from scratch or enhance large-scale codebases
• Architecture: Own MVVM, MVP, or Clean Architecture and adhere to SOLID principles
• API Integration: Integrate with RESTful APIs, JSON, WebSockets, and backend services
• Optimization & Quality: Profile performance, fix memory leaks, reduce crashes/ANRs, write unit/instrumentation tests
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Participate in Agile ceremonies, conduct code reviews, mentor teammates
• CI/CD & Deployment: Manage Git, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and support Google Play releases
