Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior Android Developer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of core Android applications. You will collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers to deliver scalable, high-performance experiences.

You will mentor junior and mid-level engineers and guide architectural decisions. This contract role offers W2 arrangements with benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• 5+ to 8+ years of Android mobile development experience.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, Gradle, Jetpack Compose, and Material Design.
• Experience with Retrofit, Room, SQLite, and asynchronous data handling.
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) preferred.
• Familiarity with published apps on Google Play Store.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Android apps.
• Lead architecture decisions and ensure SOLID principles.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and WebSockets.
• Profile performance, fix crashes, and write tests.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in Agile ceremonies.
