Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior Android Developer to lead design, development, and maintenance of core Android applications. You will collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers to deliver scalable, high-performance experiences.

You will mentor junior and mid-level engineers, guide architectural decisions, and contribute to CI/CD and Play Store releases. Rate: $60.00–$70.00/hr (W2/corp-to-corp). Remote work is available.

Qualifications

• 5+ to 8+ years of mobile development focused on Android.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, Gradle, and modern UI frameworks including Jetpack Compose and Material Design.
• Experience with Retrofit, Room, SQLite, and asynchronous data handling.
• Preferred: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Preferred: Published apps on Google Play Store.

Responsibilities

• Design & Build: Develop advanced, resilient Android applications from scratch or enhancements.
• Architecture: Own MVVM/MVP/Clean Architecture and ensure SOLID principles.
• API Integration: Integrate with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Optimization & Quality: Profile performance, address memory leaks, reduce crashes, and write tests with JUnit and Espresso.
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Participate in Agile ceremonies, review code, and mentor engineers.
• CI/CD & Deployment: Manage Git workflows, pipelines, and Play Store releases.
