Job summary

Bank of America is seeking an experienced software engineer to develop and deliver complex Android-based solutions within Enterprise Payments Technology. You will write Java/Kotlin code, design interfaces, and ensure CI/CD practices are applied from day one.

The role emphasizes maintainable architecture and secure payment integration. You will collaborate with Merchant Solutions teams, mentor others, and drive testing with automated suites to meet acceptance criteria and compliance requirements

Qualifications

3+ years experience coding Java/Kotlin for Android in production.
Strong RESTful API and JSON knowledge.
Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and agile methods.
Experience with payment solutions or POS is a plus.

Responsibilities

Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained.
Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI‑CD) practices and automating tool stack.
Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle.
Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
Automates manual release activities.
Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
