Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Payments Technology team as Mobile Development Subject Matter Expert who will work on payments applications.

You will design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade Android applications using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android development frameworks. This role focuses on secure, scalable mobile solutions with authentication, MFA, biometrics, OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect, and collaboration across Product, UX, Security,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Five to six years of Android development experience.
• Strong experience with native Android development using Kotlin/Java.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade Android applications using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android development frameworks.
• Build secure, scalable, and high-performing Android solutions that integrate with backend services and APIs.
• Implement authentication, authorization, MFA, biometrics, OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect, and device security.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, Security, Architecture, and Backend Engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain reusable Android SDKs and platform components.
