Job summary

U.S. Bank in Cincinnati is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Payments Technology to own Android development across payments applications. You will design, code, test, and maintain enterprise Android solutions using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern tooling.

You will integrate with backend services, implement authentication and security controls, and collaborate with Product, UX, Security, Architecture, and Backend teams to deliver reliable, secure experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Five to six years of Android development experience.
• Strong experience with Kotlin, Java, Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, and Android Studio.
• Experience deploying apps through Google Play and enterprise MDM.
• Familiarity with IAM platforms and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Android apps using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Build secure, scalable Android solutions integrating with backend services and APIs.
• Implement MFA, biometrics, OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect and device registration.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, Security, Architecture, and Backend teams.
• Develop reusable Android SDKs and shared libraries for consistency.
• Ensure security best practices and on-call support for critical apps.
