Job summary

The Trade Desk, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to advance features across Android mobile and TV platforms. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality, user-centric experiences using Kotlin, Coroutines, and Jetpack Compose.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Android development with the Android SDK.
• Proficiency in Kotlin including Coroutines for async programming.
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose for modern UI development.
• Solid understanding of architecture patterns (MVI, Repository, Interactors/Use Cases).
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to mentor others.
• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) or interest in cross-platform development.
• Familiarity with dependency injection frameworks (Hilt or Dagger).
• Experience with performance optimization, accessibility, and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and implementation of new features across Android platforms (mobile and TV).
• Write clean, maintainable Kotlin code using Coroutines and Jetpack Compose.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship features.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and mentoring of junior engineers.
• Continuously improve performance, reliability, and developer experience across devices.
• Advocate for best practices in Android development and contribute to technical decisions.
