Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience building and shipping high-quality Android applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Android UI expertise with Kotlin & Jetpack Compose; reactive programming with Kotlin Coroutines & Flows; proficient in MV I or MVVM.
• Experience collaborating with product, design, and backend teams to deliver solid mobile experiences.
• Comfort with data-driven decisions using SQL, Snowflake, and A/B testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality Android features and systems using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, backend, and mobile engineers to define goals, scope, and trade-offs.
• Help evolve shared mobile infrastructure, architecture, and best practices across Whatnot’s engineering organization.
• Build with performance, reliability, scalability, and user experience in mind.
• Uphold engineering excellence through code reviews, documentation, and thoughtful technical discussions.
