Job summary

Snap Inc. is seeking an Android Engineer to push mobile boundaries and craft engaging user experiences on the Snapchat app. You will build stable, smooth features from design to launch, while evaluating tradeoffs and partnering with design for optimal UI and infrastructure.

You’ll work with Kotlin, Java, RxJava, Dagger, and AI-assisted workflows to deliver scalable services with robust security and production-grade quality. A strong Android background is essential.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience; or Master’s degree in a technical field + 5+ year of post-grad software development experience; or PhD in a relevant technical field + 2 years of post-grad software development experience; or PhD in a relevant technical field

Responsibilities

  • Push the limits of mobile devices and create great user experiences.
  • Build smooth, stable, and fun products.
  • Develop features from design through implementation and launch.
  • Evaluate technical tradeoffs and collaborate with design on UI and infrastructure.
