Job summary

We are seeking an Android Software Engineer to shape a mobile AI-powered experience. You will own how AI feels and performs on Android, delivering production-ready apps that users rely on daily.

Join a team building at the intersection of mobile engineering and AI, from streaming AI conversations to intelligent recommendations. You will optimize performance, collaborate with backend and ML engineers, and ship secure, scalable Android applications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Android development experience using Kotlin.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities such as LLMs, vision or speech APIs.
• Strong knowledge of Coroutines, Flow and asynchronous programming.
• Experience working with REST or gRPC APIs.
• Excellent debugging, profiling and performance optimisation skills.
• Experience building resilient applications that handle latency, partial failures and unpredictable responses gracefully.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin.
• Develop AI-powered experiences including chat, voice, vision and intelligent recommendations.
• Design seamless user experiences for streaming responses, retries and long-running AI interactions.
• Optimise application performance, responsiveness, memory usage and battery efficiency.
• Collaborate with backend and machine learning engineers to shape APIs and product behaviour.
• Implement analytics, monitoring and feedback mechanisms to continuously improve AI performance.
• Deliver secure, scalable and reliable production applications.
