Job summary

Robinhood’s iRAD team seeks a Senior Android Engineer to shape investing experiences across onboarding and journeys. You will build high‑impact mobile features, collaborate with product, design, and backend teams, and guide architectural decisions to ensure safety and scalability.

The role is based in New York City or Menlo Park with in‑person attendance at least 3 days per week, contributing to a high‑performing, ethical workplace.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Android app development experience.
• Kotlin/Java proficiency with Android SDK and MVVM patterns.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines/Flow or RxJava, Retrofit and Room.
• Strong collaboration and product-focused mindset; mentoring others.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Build intuitive, stable Android experiences using Kotlin and modern APIs.
• Lead full feature lifecycle from ideation to release and testing.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, and Data Science teams to deliver impact.
• Champion engineering best practices for quality, scalability, and maintainability.
• Mentor junior developers and raise team standards.
