Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Senior Android Engineer on iRAD to build and evolve high-impact mobile experiences across investing journeys. You will lead complex Android work end to end, collaborating with product, design, and backend teams to ensure safety, scalability, and cross-team compatibility.

This role is based in New York City, NY or Menlo Park, CA with in-person attendance at least three days per week. You will drive Kotlin/Jetpack Compose implementations, mentor peers, and influence

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience developing Android applications.
• Proficiency with Kotlin and/or Java, and a strong grasp of the Android SDK and MVVM.
• Experience using Jetpack Compose, Coroutines & Flow or RxJava, and libraries such as Retrofit and Room.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with a product-focused mindset.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor peers, lead complex projects, and influence architecture decisions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

iRAD team builds and scales investing experiences across areas such as Retirement, Advisory, Recurring Investments, and Recommendations. The team works across both foundational and customer-facing surfaces, including onboarding flows, settings, deeplinks, and other shared product experiences.

Senior Android Engineer on iRAD – You will build and evolve high-impact mobile experiences across investing journeys, helping shape how customers discover, open, manage, and grow their accounts on Robinhood. You will lead complex Android work end to end across shared product surfaces and onboarding flows, partner closely with product, design, and backend teams, and make thoughtful technical decisions where safety, scalability, and cross-team compatibility matter.

This role is based in our New York City, NY or Menlo Park, CA office, with in-person attendance expected at least three days per week. Base Pay Range

Zone 1 (Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; Bellevue, WA; Washington, DC): $196,000—$230,000 USD

Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL): $172,000—$202,000 USD

Zone 3 (Lake Mary, FL; Clearwater, FL; Gainesville, FL): $153,000—$179,000 USD

In addition to the base pay range listed above, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities, equity, and benefits.
