Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior Android Developer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of core Android applications. The role collaborates with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers to deliver scalable, high-performance experiences.

You will mentor junior and mid-level engineers, guide technical architecture decisions, and contribute to CI/CD and Google Play releases. Remote work with competitive W2 benefits is available for enterprise-scale projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ to 8+ years of Android development experience.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Android Studio, Gradle, and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with Retrofit, Room, SQLite, and asynchronous data handling.
• Preferred: Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and published Google Play apps.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance advanced Android applications.
• Own architecture decisions (MVVM, MVP, or Clean) and apply SOLID principles.
• Integrate with RESTful APIs, JSON, and WebSockets.
• Profile performance, address memory leaks, reduce crashes and ANRs, and write tests.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, perform code reviews, and mentor teammates.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and Google Play release management.
