Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior Android Developer to lead design, development, and maintenance of core Android apps. You will collaborate with product, UX/UI, and backend teams to deliver scalable, high-performance experiences and mentor junior engineers.

Role is remote with W2 benefits and a competitive hourly rate. You will drive architecture decisions, ensure code quality, and participate in agile ceremonies while supporting CI/CD and Play Store release management.

Qualifications

• 5+ to 8+ years of Android development experience.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java required.
• Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, Gradle, Jetpack Compose.

Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced Android applications from scratch or large-scale codebases.
• Own architecture using MVVM, MVP, or Clean Architecture and SOLID principles.
• Integrate with RESTful APIs, JSON, and backend services.
• Profile performance, fix memory leaks, reduce crashes, and write tests.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Manage Git-based workflows and contribute to CI/CD and Play Store releases.
