Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior Android Developer to lead design, development, and maintenance of core Android applications. The role is remote and will collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers to deliver scalable, high-performance experiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ to 8+ years of professional mobile development experience focused on Android.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Android SDK, Android Studio, Gradle, and modern UI frameworks (Jetpack Compose).
• Experience with Retrofit, Room, SQLite; REST APIs and data handling.
• Preferred: cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and published Play Store apps.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design & Build: Develop advanced, resilient Android apps from scratch or enhance large-scale codebases.
• Architecture: Own MVVM/MVP/Clean Architecture and adhere to SOLID principles.
• API Integration: Connect to RESTful APIs, JSON, WebSockets, backend services.
• Optimization & Quality: Profile performance, fix leaks, reduce crashes, write tests.
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Participate in Agile ceremonies, review code, mentor peers.
• CI/CD & Deployment: Manage Git, contribute to CI/CD, support Google Play releases.
