Job summary

Labcorp is seeking an Anatomic Pathologist II to join our Greenfield, IN team. The role includes microscopic evaluation of tissue sections, necropsy supervision, and producing comprehensive pathology reports.

The ideal candidate holds a DVM/VMD, board certification in veterinary pathology, and 3+ years of residency experience. Strong communication and team collaboration are essential as part of a dynamic, clinical pathology setting.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD or equivalent veterinary degree is required.
• Board certification by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a pathology residency or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Perform microscopic evaluation and interpretation of tissue sections and correlate findings with necropsy, organ weight, and clinical pathology.
• Author narratives for microscopic, gross, and clinical pathology findings and meet report deadlines.
• Supervise necropsies and guide necropsy technicians to ensure accuracy and protocol compliance.
• Communicate significance of pathologic findings to study directors, clients, and others.
• Participate in histopathology consultations and peer reviews with pathologists.
• Attend pre-initiation and/or pre-necropsy meetings.
• Perform internal peer reviews of in-house toxicology reports.
• Capture photomicrographs for reports, consultations, and regulatory submissions.
• Provide diagnostic support to Department of Laboratory Animal Medicine.
• Participate in process improvement projects and attend scientific meetings and seminars.
• Author scientific manuscripts and give presentations.
