Job summary

Newrez seeks a highly analytical Senior Strategic Analytics Analyst to drive data-driven decisions across the organization. You will lead analyses, uncover drivers of performance, and deliver actionable insights that guide strategy, partnering with senior stakeholders and mentoring teammates.

You will work with large datasets, build analytical models, and create storytelling dashboards that inform recapture, lead flow, and revenue opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data analysis, business analytics, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with BI and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Sigma, or similar).
• Proven experience leading structured analysis to identify trends, drivers, and insights.
• Ability to translate analysis into clear, actionable insights and narratives for senior leadership.
• Experience applying analytical and modeling techniques (e.g., segmentation, driver analysis, decision frameworks) to real business problems.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex analyses to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities that inform business strategy and decision-making.
• Develop clear, structured narratives that explain what is happening, why it is happening, and what actions should be taken for stakeholders including senior leadership.
• Partner with stakeholders to define key questions, shape analytical approaches, and influence decision-making through data-driven insights.
• Own ongoing analysis of performance across key areas (e.g., recapture, lead flow, conversion, revenue).
• Apply and refine analytical techniques to prioritize business opportunities, including: identifying key drivers, building decision frameworks, and segmenting populations.
• Lead analytical workstreams from problem definition through delivery, ensuring quality and impact.
• Tackle complex, ambiguous questions and deliver structured insights.
• Identify new data sources and approaches to enhance understanding of performance.
• Develop dashboards, presentations, and summaries to communicate insights.
