Job summary

PANTHERx Rare Pharmacy is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to design and build the governed semantic layer on our Databricks platform, delivering Unity Catalog metric views and Gold-to-Silver promotion logic for multiple downstream consumers including Power BI dashboards and external feeds.

You will own canonical metric definitions, enforce governance, and mentor Analytics Engineers as the team scales while partnering with Data Governance, QA, and BI teams to ensure data quality and

Qualifications

• 6+ years of analytics engineering or data engineering with production ownership of a semantic layer or governed consumption layer.
• Deep, hands-on expertise with Databricks Unity Catalog in production environments.
• Experience establishing canonical metric definitions for reuse across BI, analytics, and external consumers.
• Advanced SQL and strong PySpark and Python proficiency for complex metric logic.
• Strong dimensional and consumption-oriented data modeling skills for Gold-layer structures.

Responsibilities

• Designs and builds Unity Catalog metric views with ownership, lineage, and access controls.
• Designs Gold-layer tables and Silver-to-Gold promotion logic with Data Engineering collaboration.
• Migrates legacy consumption logic into governed metric views with validated parity.
• Sets standards for metric view design, naming, versioning, and documentation.
