Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer on the Platform team to build scalable data models and pipelines powering analytics, experimentation, and decision-making.

You'll own end-to-end data solutions for key business domains, work with Engineering, Product, and Data Science, and deliver data products that unlock commercial value at scale. A strong background in SQL, Python, dbt, Airflow, and modern warehouses is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in analytics engineering or data engineering.
• Advanced SQL proficiency and Python scripting for automation.
• Experience with modern data warehouses (Snowflake, Databricks).
• Production ETL/ELT pipelines with dbt, Airflow, or similar.
• Experience with LLM prompt engineering and AI-powered tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end data modeling for assigned domains, designing modular models as the single source of truth.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines ensuring data quality and performance at scale.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Data Science to deliver data products for experimentation and metrics.
• Develop scalable abstractions and frameworks that improve cross-team efficiency.
• Design dashboards and visualizations using Looker or Tableau for cross-functional stakeholders.
