Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience building data systems or pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java for backend development at scale.
• Experience with data infrastructure patterns and storage systems.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, Airflow, Spark, Kafka in production.
• Knowledge of data security, access controls, or observability systems.
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own design, development, and operation of foundational data services across warehouses, lakes, and streaming stores.
• Build and maintain data integration SDKs used by internal services and product teams.
• Deliver self-service apps to monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines.
• Architect end-to-end data security, lineage, cataloging, and auditing.
• Partner with analysts, ML engineers, and security teams to build reusable data platform patterns.
