Twilio is seeking a Sr. Analytics Engineer, R&D, to advance the analytics data layer and accelerate reporting quality. You will partner with Data Science, Analytics, Product, and Engineering to define metrics and ensure data lineage.

The role emphasizes ownership of complex data pipelines, data quality, and mentorship within a remote-first environment. Experience with SQL and modern data stack tools is essential.

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or related field.
• Strong SQL and data modeling experience with AWS Glue or similar.
• Ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders to codify metrics.
• Excellent technical communication and mentorship skills.

• Design and implement a formal analytics data layer using AWS Glue, Athena/Presto, and LookML.
• Collaborate with Data Science & Analytics, Product, and Engineering to align metric definitions and data lineage.
• Develop automated data quality checks to identify and resolve discrepancies in reports/dashboards.
• Lead investigations into data anomalies and communicate findings to diverse audiences.
• Mentor team members and promote best practices in data modeling and testing.
