Twilio is a remote-first company seeking a Sr. Analytics Engineer in R&D to strengthen the analytics data layer and accelerate analyst velocity.

You will collaborate with Product and Engineering to define metrics, ensure data lineage, and enable trusted reporting on R&D metrics. You will design data pipelines with AWS Glue, Athena/Presto, and LookML, mentor the team, and uphold data quality through automated checks and robust testing.

Qualifikationen

• 4-5 years of professional experience in analytics engineering or data engineering.
• Strong SQL and data modeling experience with AWS Glue.
• Ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders to codify, document, and reconcile critical business metrics.
• Proven track record of owning ambiguous projects end-to-end.
• Strong technical communication and mentorship skills.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in analytics engineering or related discipline, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment.
• Expertise in Python; distributed computing with Hive, Presto, Spark; and dashboarding with Looker or Tableau.
• Experience with dbt tests, CI/CD, and data observability.
• Experience evangelizing data culture in tech organizations.

Aufgaben

• Design and implement a formal analytics data layer using AWS Glue, Athena / Presto, and LookML
• Collaborate with Data Science & Analytics, Product & Engineering to define metric definitions and data lineage
• Develop and maintain automated data reconciliation and quality checks for accurate reports and dashboards
• Lead investigations into data anomalies, perform root cause analysis, and communicate findings to diverse audiences
• Mentor team members on data modeling, testing, documentation, and code review
